Flooring Options
Different environments require different flooring solutions and the flooring options below are those that Prepmaster Flooring Services can recommend and install for you.

Epoxy resin floor coatings provide hard wearing surfaces which are ideal for most industrial environments and can be used where a seamless resin flooring solution is required. Epoxy Coatings are from 300 micron to 1mm thick. These can be applied as top layer to almost any surface, including concrete floors, pump screeds, tarmac, asphalt, wood and metal. Epoxy Coatings are not just a paint. They are much thicker and tougher. They add a layer of hard wearing protection to the floor and have a wide range of properties suitable for different environments

These systems are different from the resin coatings in so far as they are much thicker and therefore longer lasting than coatings. Their appearance is that of a much smoother floor surface. It is the perfect medium for a multitude of heavy duty applications including; safety walkways, area demarcation and forklift truck routes through factories. It is ideal when you want a smooth floor in a laboratory or clean-room environment. It comes in any colour desired by the client and an anti-slip can be incorporated. It not only has an aesthetically pleasing very shiny finish but is also highly durable and easy to clean.

Anti-slip flooring is suitable for walkways, treads and wet areas requiring a high slip resistance and can be applied to weathered stable tarmac, asphalt, wood, steel and concrete.
Aggregates are applied during the installation process to raise the surface profile of the floor and thereby produce an anti-slip surface. In high-risk environments where an anti-slip flooring solution is extremely important safer walkways with greater anti-slip properties can be installed in the flooring. Colour coding these safer walkways helps users to keep to the safer anti-slip areas when walking around. Anti-slip can be incorporated into any resin floor coating using clear aggregate sealed into the resin so the floor can still be easily cleaned. (Click on the image to see a larger version)

Industrial Pumped Screeds are a great option for resurfacing and repairing old or damaged industrial flooring as it is very strong and also quick to lay and minimises the time an area is out of action. It is the only way to get a level surface from 2mm to 50mm thick. It can be a stand-alone wearing surface or can be topped by a resin coating for a hygienic and attractive floor surface. Not to be confused with concrete screed, it is up to twice as strong and is non-dusting. They range in strength from light commercial to lay under carpet through to a high strength industrial wearing surface suitable for forklifts and heavy machinery. Very, very tough, exactlty what you need when you have heavy machinery. Some of these can sets in under 2 hours and even if you choose the strongest mix can be driven on by a vehicle after 4 hours.

Polished concrete floors are a unique, durable and robust non-slip flooring. Concrete offers a greater degree of customisation and individuality over alternative surfaces. Polished Concrete is Concrete that has been treated with a chemical densifier and ground to create a smooth polished surface. Stains and dyes can be applied to enhance polished concrete, giving it a wide aesthetic appeal in addition to a functional one.

We provide a road marking and traffic line painting service to commercial clients.
Maintaining a safe environment for people, whether closed or open to the public is extremely important. Floor marking is used for a variety of reasons but the main purpose is to make people aware of boundaries in their working environment. A system should clearly identify pedestrian walkways, product storage areas, parking bays, traffic routes and No Entry zones.
